Cookie Policy
This crawlable page mirrors Lutiq’s Cookie Policy. The product SPA also serves /cookies for the branded layout.
This Cookie Notice explains how Lutiq LLC ("Lutiq," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on lutiq.com, in our customer dashboard, and on the edge-delivered landing-page experiences we serve on behalf of our Brand Partners. This notice supplements our Privacy Policy (Part A for the lutiq.com Site and dashboard; Part B for the end-consumer landing-page experience).
United States only. Lutiq's Services, including the cookies described here, are offered in the United States only. They are not directed to or offered to individuals located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and we do not provide GDPR or UK-GDPR cookie-consent or data-subject-rights mechanisms. The cookie controls described below are designed around U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (the "CCPA").
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They can be "first-party" (set by the domain you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by another domain loaded into the page). They can also be "session" cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (stored for a defined period). Related technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags; we treat them the same as cookies for purposes of this notice.
2. Cookies Lutiq Uses
We use the following categories of cookies. Lutiq's own cookies are not advertising cookies; however, on the landing pages Lutiq serves, a merchant may also authorize third-party tags that set their own cookies — see Section 3.
- Strictly necessary cookies — for authentication, session management, CSRF protection, and load balancing on lutiq.com and in the dashboard
- Functional cookies — for remembering preferences such as theme, dashboard layout, and last-viewed experiment
- Analytics and attribution cookies — set by the Lutiq Pixel on merchant domains. These include a pseudonymous visitor identifier that recognizes the same browser across sessions and visits, so Lutiq can keep a consistent experience, attribute downstream purchases to a landing-page visit, and — as part of the Permitted Data described in Section 5 — train and improve Lutiq's own models. They also support aggregate usage analytics on lutiq.com itself
3. First-Party and Merchant-Authorized Third-Party Cookies
The cookies Lutiq itself sets through the Lutiq Pixel are first-party cookies scoped to the domain you are visiting (for example, go.brandname.com or lutiq.com). Lutiq's own identifiers set on one Brand Partner's domain are not readable on any other Brand Partner's domain, and Lutiq does not maintain a cross-site identity graph of its own. Any cross-Brand-Partner benefit flows only through Lutiq's trained model parameters and aggregate statistical patterns; Lutiq never exposes one Brand Partner's identifiers or raw data to another.
On the landing pages Lutiq serves, Lutiq will load whatever third-party tags the merchant chooses to run — for example, the merchant's own analytics or advertising pixels. The merchant decides which tags are included; Lutiq places them on the merchant's instruction and does not control them or determine what they collect. These third-party tags set their own cookies and send data to their providers under the merchant's configuration and those providers' own privacy and cookie policies; they are not Lutiq cookies. The merchant is responsible for disclosing them and obtaining any consent the law requires.
4. No Cross-Site Tracking
Lutiq does not itself follow you across unrelated websites, does not synchronize its own cookies with advertising networks or data brokers, and does not use device fingerprinting or probabilistic matching to reconstruct an identifier after cookies are cleared. The merchant-authorized third-party tags described in Section 3 are separate: advertising-platform pixels in particular may share data with their networks and be used for cross-site or interest-based advertising, according to the merchant's configuration and each provider's own policies. You can limit these through the browser and GPC controls in Section 7, the opt-out in Section 5, and each provider's own opt-out.
5. Cookies, "Sale" / "Sharing," and Your Opt-Out
The pseudonymous first-party identifiers and interaction data our analytics and attribution cookies generate are part of the "Permitted Data" Lutiq uses both to deliver each merchant's own service and to train and improve Lutiq's own optimization and attribution models, including learning across our customer base. Under the CCPA, making this data available for Lutiq's own purposes may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and you have the right to opt out. We honor that right, and when you opt out we exclude your data from Lutiq's cross-brand model training.
You can exercise this opt-out in any of the following ways:
- Turn on the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser; we recognize and honor GPC automatically as a valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing," and when a GPC signal is present we limit cookie-based processing for that browser session to what is strictly necessary for the page to function
- Email [email protected], or submit a request at lutiq.com/privacy-request
- On a Brand Partner's Shopify storefront, use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" control the merchant surfaces; Lutiq also gates on Shopify's Customer Privacy API consent flags
6. Do Not Track (DNT) Not Responded To
Our Services do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals, because there is no industry standard for how to respond. We do, however, honor GPC signals as a valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing," as described in Section 5.
7. How to Control Cookies
- All major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Brave) let you block or delete cookies globally or per-site through the browser's privacy settings
- You can enable GPC in Firefox and Brave natively, or through extensions such as Privacy Badger, DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials, or the OptMeowt browser extension
- On lutiq.com, blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and dashboard use; functional and analytics cookies may be blocked without losing core functionality
- On merchant landing pages served by Lutiq, blocking the Lutiq Pixel's first-party cookies will cause the page to fall back to a single default variant and will disable conversion attribution for your session
8. Cookies Reference
The following is a representative list of Lutiq's own cookies. The attribution-link cookie persists for up to 30 days; our other persistent first-party cookies persist for up to 12 months. Exact names may change as the product evolves. Merchant-authorized third-party tags (Section 3) set their own cookies under their providers' names, durations, and policies, which Lutiq does not control.
- ltq_vid — first-party — pseudonymous visitor identifier used for variant assignment and session continuity — up to 12 months
- ltq_session — first-party — session state for the current browsing session — session (deleted on browser close)
- ltq_variant — first-party — which landing-page variant the visitor was assigned to — up to 12 months
- ltq_attr — first-party — attribution link between landing-page visit and downstream store activity — up to 30 days
- ltq_gpc — first-party — records that a GPC signal was seen for the current browser session — session
- ltq_pref — first-party — dashboard preferences on lutiq.com (theme, layout) — up to 12 months
