Predictive landing page optimization: definition
Predictive landing page optimization chooses which page to show for each visit based on a prediction of conversion (or revenue), given available signals and a library of page variants. Traffic is not forced to a single “champion” page for everyone.
This is the landing-page analogue of how modern ad platforms pick creatives: large library, continuous learning, per-impression (here: per-click) allocation.
What it is not
- Not only generating pages with AI. Generation expands the library; prediction decides allocation.
- Not a classic two-cell A/B that ends when one page wins forever.
- Not unsupervised brand risk — systems that matter keep an approval step before variants can receive traffic.
What you need for it to work
- Many plausible, brand-safe page variants (not just headline swaps).
- Outcome feedback (lead, cart, purchase, revenue) tied to the page shown.
- A holdout or other honest baseline so the system is judged against status quo.
- Fast enough serving that page choice stays invisible to the shopper.
