Multi-variant landing pages: definition

· glossary

Multi-variant landing pages means operating a library of page options against live traffic at once, instead of sequentially testing two pages until one “wins.”

Sequential A/B testing answers “A or B?” Multi-variant systems answer “which of many pages should this visit see, and what do we learn for the next batch?”

When multi-variant is the right tool

When you only have two plausible pages and low traffic, a simple A/B may still be enough.

Pairing with prediction and holdouts

Multi-variant without allocation intelligence is just chaos. Useful systems predict which page to show and keep a holdout baseline so absolute lift is measurable.
